Research Project:

In recent years, the increase in distributed electricity production has resulted in the emergence of local electricity markets. The electricity price in these markets is often lower than that of the grid due to the lower operating costs of production. Therefore, some consumers prefer to buy electricity as much as possible from these markets. Some large consumers, such as telecommunication service providers, have several geographically widespread centers for processing and transferring data. They can shift their load between these computation and transmission centers to minimize their energy bill. This will affect the price of electricity in the local markets and, as a result, the leveraging power of producers to influence the price.
